Information we collect
Contact and grant forms may collect a preferred name, safe contact details, broad location, age range, the type and urgency of support requested, and information you choose to include in a message. We intentionally do not request an exact address, legal name, sexual orientation, identity document or names of other at-risk people at the initial application stage.
How we use information
Information is used to respond to enquiries, assess requests, communicate safely, arrange eligible support, prevent misuse and improve programme delivery. It is not sold or used for targeted advertising.
Form processing
Website forms are submitted through Formspree, a third-party form-processing service. This means form data is transmitted to and processed by that provider before it reaches Rainbow Lighthouse Uganda. Applicants who do not wish to use the web form may contact the organisation by phone or email.
Access and sharing
Access should be limited to authorised team members who need the information for their work. Information should be shared with a service partner only when necessary, lawful and supported by appropriate consent, unless disclosure is required by law or needed to address a serious and immediate risk.
Retention and deletion
Personal information should be retained only as long as necessary for the purpose collected, safeguarding obligations and applicable legal requirements, then securely deleted or de-identified. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, subject to legal and safeguarding limits.
Device safety
A browser may retain history, form values or downloaded files. Use a private device or private-browsing window if appropriate, close tabs when finished and consider clearing browsing history. Closing this page does not erase browser history.
