Board-approved registration and verification

All applicants must complete registration and identity verification before a grant application can proceed.

Rainbow Lighthouse Uganda has resolved to require registration and independent verification for every applicant to strengthen accountability, safeguard donor resources and reduce fraud.

Four clear steps

From registration to grant application

Follow these steps to complete the required registration and verification process safely.

1

Read the notice

Review the mandatory registration requirements, fee information, privacy details and waiver option on this page before you proceed.

2

Register with the provider

Complete the approved registration process and provide the details required for identity checks, including your NIN and legal name information.

3

Verify your identity

An independent third-party provider checks whether your details match the information supplied for registration.

4

Apply after approval

Only applicants who pass registration and verification are approved to proceed with a grant application using the reference received.

How the fee is used
To cover the third-party verification provider charge and directly related administrative costs.

The verification fee is modest, non-refundable and does not guarantee eligibility, approval, priority or funding. It covers the independent verification service and related administration only.

Unable to afford the verification fee?

Request a confidential fee waiver before paying.

A waiver request does not reduce an applicant's eligibility or priority.

Fraud prevention

Recognize the official boundaries

Registration comes before application

All prospective applicants must complete registration and verification before any grant application can be submitted.

Payment never guarantees a grant

No payment can guarantee approval, accelerate review, increase an award or release grant funds.

Identity information stays out of the grant form

The independent provider checks your NIN and legal identity details. Rainbow Lighthouse does not request your NIN directly in the grant form.

Financial accountability

Aggregate reporting without exposing applicants.

Because the verification provider collects its charge directly, Rainbow Lighthouse does not treat the charge as unrestricted organizational income.

Periodic transparency reporting will use aggregate figures supplied or reconciled through the approved provider relationship. Reports will not publish names, NINs, verification references, contact information or applicant stories.

Already registered and verified?

Continue to the grant application.

Keep your verification reference available. Rainbow Lighthouse will independently check it before any award decision or payment.
